Welcome

Welcome All! As I write this, I am sitting in my living room with my husband, dog, and daughter watching safari animal videos on Youtube. I have a cup of coffee by my side, and there are toys and papers everywhere. I am pretty drained, but I am also full of gratitude because this set up is what made me create this site you’re on right now. I love my family and the life I’ve been creating so much, that I knew pursing my own passions was for their benefit as well. They inspire me to be creative, curious and healthy in mind and body.

I have been practicing yoga and meditation for over 10 years, but when I became a mother a little over 2 years ago my relationship with the practice changed completely. It went from being something that brought me comfort on occasion, to being my saving grace during the transition into motherhood. The practice allowed me to not only make time for myself, but it taught e to reconnect with my body, and my mental and physical strength. I decided that I needed to take my practice to the next level by enrolling in a 200 YTT program. I was not sure how I would use the training at the time, but I signed up anyway because I felt sure in my soul that it would change me for the better. I spent the next few months taking classes all weekend, doing homework during the week, being inspired, crying, moving, building strength, building gratitude, and really coming into my own self. I realized that I could be a teacher, and a livelong student at the same time. My journey with this is no where close to ending, there are more certifications, more classes, more books, more people I want to meet. At the moment, this site will be my way of sharing things that have helped me through this newer stage of life. That will mostly be in the form of yoga classes, meditations, and essays.

My hope for you here, is that you find ways to appreciate and connect with your body and mind. I hope you find support and community. I hope you can explore ways in which yoga and meditation can help you off the mat, and into the rest of your day.
